It was a fantastic day. After an hour we arrived to Point Pelée. It is located south of Windsor. The weather was warm and wet. We admired the wonderful view of Marshland, a wetland where we could see the amazing nature of that place: beautiful trees, and animals.
Then we took the trolley and saw the beautiful Lake Erie. We took a lot of pictures, and enjoyed the sand, the waves and the breeze touching our faces. It was raining, but it didn't matter. Lake Erie is like the ocean!!! After that, Patt, our ambassador, was waiting for us with some delicious barbecue.
In the afternoon we went to "Shodeo", a rodeo show. There was a horse exhibition and a dog show. We were really excited with the dogs abilities.
Today we got up early and went to the mass in Ste Guadaloupe. The priest welcomed and blessed our group. We were really glad to receive this spiritual message.
In the afternoon some of us had sport activities at the school. We played different games and sports such as football, handball and kickball. Then we came back to school and we had the chance to listen to our classmates presentation. We learned the importance of rules in the Dinning Hall, the Pink Room (our social room where we write our journal and watch TV every night), and the way we have to behave in our bedrooms, buses and field trips. Some of us are the week monitors. We're doing it very well.
Before going to bed, the good job of the group was prized with some ice cream.
October 7
School day again. The morning was a bit colder. Now we can feel the autumn coming. We got a nice surprise. Donna sang the Happy Birthday song to Tatiana Torres and Luis Villa. They received some beautiful presents from the Academy. After school we had a City Park Tour. We saw the beautiful flowers, monuments and memorials in Jackson Park. Then we went to Centennial Park and we enjoyed the view of Detroit River and the Ambassador Bridge, which connects Canada and the United States. We walked a lot and admired the sculptures and the sunset.
